"Job Revealed More Than We Anticipated"
Job not only went through a Journey but He took us on one.🌷
As we began in Job, we were given a picture of who the man, Job was. He was described as the weathiest man in the East, and blamless before God.
The key to this book was realizing that Trust is the most important key to a relationship with God.
That Trust we need to have in God is the secret sauce…the key!
Jobs' story tells us many important things…

Job showed us that our goal should be to strive to walk blamelessly, daily. He shows us that it is possible and it should be our focus.
What I wasn't expecting was his lesson to us as parents. Our children's spiritual walk is very important, and we should not lack in this area. We are to be their protector, their guide, their teacher, and an example so they will go in the ways of the Lord as they grow old. Job showed us that we are always to be praying and standing in the gap for them and praying a hedge of protection over them, the same way God did over Job.
Next, whatever we walk through (suffering, loss, pain, loneliness, etc), our focus always needs to be on God and not our circumstances. God is always there for us, just as he never left Job.
Friendship. We got to see what friendship should and should not be. We need to be a friend like Jesus to our brethren. We need to seek God in prayer for them, sit with them, and stand in the gap for them. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us as to how to help, encourage, and bless them in their time of need.
Finally, we need to recognize what we need to change. Just as David prayed for a willing spirit, we can do the same, bringing us into obedience to confess our failures, sins, and repent, then ask forgiveness. More than that…we need to have a heart change and work to have a clean heart and walk with God.
Job shows us what unwavering faith looks like when life does not make sense. When the loss is great, when the answers are silent, and when the questions feel louder than the promises.
And yet… in the middle of suffering, we hear these powerful words:
“Though he slay me, I will hope in him.” — Job 13:15
He shows us anchored trust.
This week reminded us that trusting God is not about understanding every detail — it is about knowing His character. Even when the silence feels long, God is not absent. Even when the story feels heavy, He is still writing it.
If this week felt weighty for you, you are not alone. Stay with it. Let His Word speak. Let it stretch your faith. Let it steady your heart.
I look forward to stepping into week three with you.
We are walking this together. 🌷
